Canada Day - The Noontime Show
Tuesday, July 01, 2003

Canadiana Everywhere.

And then... onto Parliament Hill.

A Flag In The Clouds.

Nothing says "Television Coverage" like the Steady-Cam guy.

And then the Bagpipers come through. And here I am focusing on the drummer.

Keeping the peace... it's the boys in red.

Yes, I was this close to the Prime Minister.

Had they given us warning, I would have had time to take a better picture of the Snowbirds strafing Parliament Hill. But this is still pretty cool.

And on with the Noontime Show!!

With Amanda Marshall.

And an umbrella with a Maple Leaf on it.

And a paper flag.

And the Governor General. I'd insert a Take 30 reference here but no one would get it.

This place clears out fast.

And then onto the buskers.

Note to Francois: Do not wear a funny hat if you don't want to participate in the performance.

What would a street performance be without... FLAMING DEATH!!

And then we were taunted by rain.

Even the boaters like the flags.

It's at this point where the photography takes a slight break. If you really want to see drunk pictures of fireworks, then feel free to revisit last year's evidence. It's pretty much the same every year.
