Phase 001: Getting There
I'd never seen flight attendants with hats before.
Phase 002: Edinburgh
Well, American beer is good for something.
Edinburgh: the city. The Old Town is in blue. The New Town is
in red. That's all you need to know.
What would a major metropolitan centre be without it's own casino?
Answer: crappy.
Just an average street building. But it looks cool.
74.9 pence per litre doesn't seem like such a bad price until you
consider the conversion: as of 2003.10.07 03:28:31 GMT, this is equal to
$1.68 Canadian. And you thought 80 cents was steep...
Phase 003: The Scott Monument
How many city's have their own spire downtown? This is...
The Scott Monument.
There's old Wally Scott now.
The monument up close.
Access to the upper levels is via these scary spiral staircases.
The view of Edinburgh Castle from the Scott Monument. We'll be
seeing more of you, later.
On the grounds in front of the Scott Monument is this tree.
Apparently it's an angry tree.
Now you know how to get to Berwick upon Tweed from Edinburgh:
take the A1.
Phase 004: Calton Hill
Calton hill...
Up to your right.
The National Monument. Supposed to be a replica of the Parthenon.
They ran out of money. Now, it's the National Disgrace.
Also on top of Calton Hill is the Nelson Monument.
They sure are fond of spiral staircases here...
Strange, the National Monument looks absolutely fake from up here.
The Floral Clock. It's supposed to do something special, but I
didn't see nothing.
