Juice & Gin

Editor's blurb:
Hey guys!
Pretty quiet this week... this usually means that something big is coming...
Do you ever feel like you go out too much? I mean when i look a few weeks back, I haven't really got a free night.... freaky.
As for the upcoming stuff, mike has already a very detailed description, so I'll leave it up to him to list them.
I would like to know if anyone finds this newsletter interesting/useful... based on the huge amount of feedback I received so far :), I have no clue what you guys think. Either use the submission form or email me directly, thanks.

Message from HeadNUT/WebDude/PhodoDude/Treasurer/Meeting Recorder/Multi-Committee Head Secretary/etc
(This is going to be a BIG update, so be sure to read every LAST WORD, M'kay?)
Hey gang
I'm hoping to add a new title each week until the entire Juice and Gin is made up of all my titles. This week Milti-Committee Head Secretary, next week... Anti-Aircraft Biscuit Launcher!
Not much action on the pictures this week, although there are new images from our past Friday's excursion to Rosie O'Grady's and the most recent Wing Night. This week's Wing Night was odd in that we ended up spending a lot of time with a cat. Well, you can see for yourself in the pictures. Sorry to anyone who may have tried to catch up with us later in the evening at Minglewoods when we weren't around.
New pictures this week:
* Wing Night #05
* Rosie O'Grady's
(For anyone who's keeping score at home -- and who isn't? -- Jordan defeated Francois with ease. Francois went home with tears in his eyes.)
The big news is that there are lot of one-time events coming up!! So strap on your skates Gordy, you're going in!

MASQUERADE MADNESS
==================
Friday, February 08, 2002
Event: A Masquerade Party, which involves optional masks and compulsory clothes -- well, a few at least.
Date: Friday, February the 8th
Time: Any old time you like, but probably around 7 or 8pm at the earliest and 5 or six the next morning at the latest.
Location: This is Bank and Lewis house, 438 Lewis street, which is in Ottawa near the Hartmans.
Whose holding the party: The (in?)famous hosts of the Halloween 2001 party (it was such a success we just had to work in a be-masked event, even though the closest vacation is Valentines).
Whose invited: everyone except Hell's Angels Bikers, Al Queda terrorists and John Raulston Saul. Just kidding, Hell's Angels and Al Queda terrorists are welcome.
Who to contact for information: Jeff Naylor <jnaylor@sfu.ca>.
CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION
============================
Saturday, February 09, 2002
Join Lisa and her cohorts to celebrate the Chinese New Year with Dim Sum and (possibly) Mah-Jongg fun!
Do you want to try "authentic" Chinese food that doesn't involve chicken chow mein and chicken balls? Check out Chu Shing restaurant on 691 Somerset West. We will meet on the corner of Bronson and Somerset at 11:30am, and then head over to the restaurant. Get there EARLY or ON TIME because we will have to head over to the restaurant right away to get seats. If you KNOW you are going to be late, let one of us know so we can save you a seat. Last one in gets a rotten chicken foot!!!
Contact Liza <lmaa@sfu.ca> for more information.
SKATING ON THE CANAL
====================
Sunday, February 10, 2002
Come skating on the Rideau Canal and participate in other Winterlude events! Meet in front of the National Arts Centre on Elgin Street at 2pm. Contact any of the co-ordinators (NUTS/SFU) if you are interested in participating in some fun-filled and FREE winter events! Bring your mittens!!!!

We're checking out the Cock & Lion Ale House on 65 Bank near Sparks. This event is open ONLY to the legally single and the honorary singles who are engaged in relationships involving different area codes. The mice will play approximately at 8pm.
LASER TAG
=========
Friday, February 15, 2002
Shooting each other has never been more fun! Test your aim, defensive and offensive skills in a game of laser tag! Even better, they play music while you run around in a spooky maze full of surprises at every turn...
WARNING:
- A lot of action is expected, enthusiast players recommended.
- Sweating is actually normal in this game.
- This is the only time you can safely shoot someone... now how many times does that happen???
Have any inquiry? Want to book your spot? E-mail Francois <francois.gingras@alcatel.com>.
