Monday Pool League

The Pool League is up and running!

WHEN: Monday nights at 7:00 pm (come 6:45 pm to warm up).

WHERE: The Cue and Cushion (319 Bank Street -- close to the the corner of Bank and McLaren). It's on the second floor of the building, take the stairs up.

WHO: Everyone is welcome to come and play! Depending on the number of people who show up, the players are split into tiers based on skill level, so you don't need to be a shark to play.

HOW: Send a mail to Dave and Michael (the organisers) at: nuts.pool at gmail.com and let them know you are interested in being on the mailing list. Every week an email will be sent out asking you if you are interested in playing the following Monday. Reply by Monday at noon to confirm your participation.

COST: Now only 4 bucks (covers all scheduled games against opponents and all you can play afterwards). How can you pass up a deal like that, Chester? You can't, so don't even try -- you may pull something and end up in traction. And nobody wants that.

PLUS: If you participate in HALF of the games for a term (January-April, May-August, September-December) you receive FREE entry into our End-of-term Tournament, for great prizes (plus a celebration party afterwards)!

Thursday Indoor Rock Climbing @ Coyote Rock Gym

Come and have a nice workout and join the team of new and experienced climbers!

The prices are enumerated below:

Gym entry fee: 10$
Harness location: 2$
Shoes locations: 3$

You can use your own equipment if you like (but still have to pay the entry fee of 10$). The entry fee can be reduced to 8$ if we get a group rate, and it works like this:

  • We have to bring in at least 6 people.
  • We have to book one week ahead of time, so anyone interested in going on a given Thursday has to confirm their presence by Friday on the preceding week.

You can also get membership cards, which will reduce the entry fee to about 5$ if you come often enough. Since those prices are subject to change, contact me to get the latest offerings.

So what time do you have to show up? Easy. The deal is valid only before 8PM, so it is preferable if you show up around 7:30, so that we can get everyone ready.

Where is it? Though question :) Many people failed to find the place, but it's really easy:

The official address is 1737B St. Laurent Blvd. Practically, the best way to get there is to get to the corner of St. Laurent Blvd and Industrial Avenue. You will see a Hooter's restaurant, and the gym is directly behind it. To get in it, you have to walk around the building until you see a few large garage doors (the ones loading trucks would use) and a stairs in between. There is a sign on top of the door.

You can confirm your presence by contacting Andrew
