IFCO's 10th Anniversary Retrospective Celebration!

IFCO (The Independent Filmmaker's Co-op of Ottawa) is getting ready to celebrate 10 years of outrageous and independent production in our region. Ottawa's very own filmmakers' co-op is ten years old on January 15th , 2002. To celebrate the beginning of its second decade, IFCO is engaging in a cinematic ritual - screening a pick of its productions since 1992.

The selection covers the range of films our town's cineastes have made over the past ten years. The longest lasts twenty minutes, the shortest only one minute. Genres take in animation of many kinds, digitally enhanced films, experimental documentary, a tribute to the Ice Storm of 1998, and a trailer for a Harry Knuckles film that doesn't exist.

Everyone's invited to come and celebrate our local filmmakers one more time. Presentation will be held at the Bytowne Cinema Tuesday January 15th, show starts at 6:45pm. There will be a birthday party afterwards a location to be disclosed at the screening. Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased at IFCO, The Arts Court or at the Bytowne on the evening of the event.

We'd like to invite you to the gala. Your attendance will be greatly appreciated by the Ottawa filmmaking community as an expression of your support.

Thanks for considering our invitation. In the meantime, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us at 569-1789.

Sincerely,
Dawolu Saul
Executive Director
